Christy Link began dancing with Perimeter Academy of the Arts where she was trained in classical ballet under Eleanor Rogers ☺ and Dorothy Schlichting. During her time at Georgia College & State University, she studied different forms of dance while choreographing new original works, one of which was a part of her senior thesis. In 2009 and 2010 she spent seven months in Orlando, finally able to combine her love of Disney with performing. Christy returned to Atlanta, GA as a guest artist and teacher at Perimeter Academy of the Arts and the Still Pointe Studios in 2011.
In 2012 she met and married Josh Link, who at the time was a youth pastor in Monterey, California. After Still Pointe’s 2012 recital, Christy joined her husband in California and began teaching ballet at a few studios out west. Life in California was busy with middle and high schoolers keeping things interesting (have you ever flocked a yard?); but Christy and Josh loved their students and enjoyed the ministry.
In 2013, God called the Links back to Georgia; so they packed up and drove across the country taking the scenic route. Christy began teaching with the Still Pointe Studios again as soon as the season started. She also started dancing with Refuge Dance Company, a collection of professional dancers in the Atlanta area.
In 2016, Christy gave Still Pointe our favorite tiny dancer, baby Rebekah! You can often find this little bundle of joy playing with office supplies and watching the big girls as she crawls around the studio while her mother teaches.
Christy’s main passion is choreography and she is so excited to ignite a passion for dance in all her students.
