At age 3, our youngest dancers begin learning about the ballet classics, engaging their imaginations and using their bodies to tell stories. In every level at Still Pointe, music appreciation and the fundamentals of music are taught. During the early elementary years, our curriculum is developmentally based, focused on adapting gross motor skills into ballet movements. These classes prepare each student to begin classical ballet training. We teach from a written syllabus that combines the best of Vaganova, Cecchetti, and Balanchine methods, introducing and refining technique and the elements of artistic expression in a careful progression of skill based levels.
