Kate Edmunds
Kate grew up in Cumming, GA and began dance at the age of 3. In second grade, her mom signed her up for ballet at a new dance studio that she had heard of that not only took dance seriously, but also trained dancers up to embody grace and kindness. That is when Kate met Eleanor Rogers. Kate trained under Eleanor at Still Pointe for ten years, until she graduated from high school. During her dance career, Kate participated in the Youth America Grand Prix competition twice, and attended numerous summer programs including Cincinnati Ballet, the Rock School in Philadelphia, and Atlanta Ballet.
Kate made the decision to not pursue dance post-high school, and to pivot her life to try something completely different. She graduated in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia. She currently works as an associate at a Wealth Management firm based in Buckhead.
Although she was away from the studio for 4 years, Kate has stayed a familiar face to many at Still Pointe. Kate has been Still Pointe’s resident photographer since 2019. She is very thankful for the ways that photography has kept her connected to ballet and the people she loves!
